A true democratic decision can only be made through truly democratic deliberation, in which everybody is able to express his or her opinion. Too often the democratic process is diminished, as the debating audience grows too large to support true democratic debate.

ePnyx is an innovative electronic platform that enables people to assemble, debate and discuss, and make decisions as a true democratic community. We take our name for Pnyx, the hill upon which sat the Assembly of the Athenians, the world’s most famous democracy.

The ePnyx system simulates a democratic assembly - allowing individuals to raise issues for discussion, providing forums for deliberation and debate, and enabling voting.
Unlike an ordinary assembly, ePnyx communities are not directed by committees or a board, but by the members themselves. The system uses advanced statistical analysis to promote qualitative postings and insure against overwhelming discussions by encouraging the consolidation of opinions.
